The Story: After ten years in prison, Lang returns to his hometown in northwest
China, now almost abandoned and about to be razed to the ground to make way
for a factory complex. In the effort to clean up the town before the 2008 Beijing
Olympics, Lang can only find work hunting stray dogs. A dangerous black dog with
a high capture reward bites Lang. The two are isolated to prevent the spread of the
rabies virus, and a friendship develops between them..
