«A Complete Unknown» also deals with the monster of fame. Fame is a burden and
a curse, something that changes Dylan's attitude forever. One of the film's theses
is that the embarrassment of always being recognised forced Dylan to construct
this idea of a mystery man. And it is in this mystery that the film endures and
                                    fascinates."

                                    the shrouds

The Story: Karsh, 50, is an important technology entrepreneur. Inconsolable since
the death of his wife, Becca, he invents a revolutionary technology: a shroud equipped
with cameras that allow relatives to maintain visual contact with their deceased loved
ones. One night, several coffins are desecrated, including Becca's. Karsh tries to find
those responsible, and in the process he uncovers a conspiracy that will jeopardise his
                                    company.

Rodrigo Fonseca wrote: "Cronenberg built the narrative around the fact that religious
ceremonies operate on the basis of veiling, on the principle of covering up what people
have lost. The director preferred to construct a dramaturgy in which the putrefying
body is unveiled and exposed to a shock threshold, because he doesn't see dead bodies
as decaying flesh. He thinks of them as (thin) packaging for the experiences we record."
